Dr. McNutt

Dr. McNutt is a native of Nashville who received his undergraduate degree in zoology from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. He received his dental degree from the University of Tennessee in Memphis and completed two years of additional study, receiving a certificate in pediatric dentistry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he was chief resident. He graduated from all three programs with honors, and he received long-term training from the Chauncey Sparks Center for Developmental and Learning Disorders.

Dr. McNutt is a member of the American Dental Association and the Tennessee Dental Association, and he is a past president of the Tennessee Society of Pediatric Dentists. He is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the TN Chapter of American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. McNutt is also a member of the Nashville Dental Society and the Brentwood Study Club, and he serves as the representative on the PANDA (Prevent Abuse and Neglect in Dental Awareness) coalition. He is a staff member of the Oral Facial Surgical Center, Baptist Hospital, and Vanderbilt Hospital.

Dr. McNutt has written articles for publication on oral trauma and topics related to pediatric dentistry. He is also the author of the children's book Alley Alligator's Awesome Smile.

Dr. McNutt welcomes speaking engagements and teaching opportunities. When he and his wife are not busy with school and church activities with their three sons, he enjoys sports, outside activities, and being the handyman at home.
